Wednesday Adult Class

Pastor Ed will lead this interactive adult Bible study, Walking With Jesus, starting in April. The goal is to help new believers learn what leading a life surrendered to Jesus looks like. The class will include teaching time, as well as discussion time where new and experienced believers can share what they are learning with each other. All adults welcome.

The class begins on Wednesday, April 7 at 6:30 PM in Room 2, and will meet each Wednesday night through May 12.

Saturday Worship Service

Summer Missions Opportunity

Have you felt a draw to join a missions team? This summer Pastors Scott Eberhart and Jeremy Carlton will be leading a short term missions trip to Guatemala. The trip is open to adults, as well as to high school students who have completed their sophomore year by June 2010. This will be the fourth year that VCC has sent a team to partner with the Foursquare Church in Guatemala and Jackie Carson-Jackie Carson Team Ministries. In the past teams have worked on a building project for La Isla School, which was founded by Jackie Carson. They have also distributed children’s clothing and held weekend youth retreats for young people associated with the school. Along with this, they have worked with Pastor Chilin ministering at local churches.

This summer’s projects include clothing distribution, a weekend youth retreat, and a building project for a local Mayan church. Possibly interested in participating either through going or giving? The Names of God

In this class, you will learn what some of God’s names mean, what they reveal about Him, and how they speak to us today. The class is lead by Pastor Scott and meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in Room 2. It will run from February 17 through March 17.

Child & Youth Protection Training

Valley Christian Center cares about children and youth, and so we have always had safety measures in place to protect them while they are here on campus or away on a church outing. Now VCC is making sure our child protection measures are up-to-date.

Currently, VCC is holding Foursquare Church – Child and Youth Protection Training sessions for anyone who volunteers in this area. Please note, volunteers may attend any session—and need only attend one session—as all training information will be covered at each of the sessions. Multiple opportunities are being offered, so that every volunteer can become trained. The first and second sessions were well attended–third session still tba. Don’t miss your opportunity to receive this important, mandatory training!

Training, as well as a background check, is required for anyone working with children or youth at VCC.

Community Wide Ladies Bible Study

Pastor Ed loves Jesus and he loves people. He has a gift for making Biblical Christianity understandable and livable.

Formerly a youth pastor at Faith Center Foursquare Church in Eugene, Pastor Ed, his wife–Felicia, and their three children have been with Valley Christian Center almost since its beginning in 1987.

Pastor Ed roots for the University of Oregon Ducks and the West Albany High School Bulldogs. Even so, Beaver fans and Rebel fans are welcomed and loved at Valley Christian Center.
