A church member shared that he has never been in an environment where he experiences so much of what he calls echo—
that is, people confirming with each other what they are hearing God say—as he has here at VCC.

God echoes in worship, in the words He brings forth, in the message, and in the hearts of His children!

On this Sunday, our Willamette Valley was shrouded in smoke from wildfires that devastated nearby communities and indirectly affected almost everyone in our state. Last week's events left us reeling as a community. Feeling we were to worship, Nicole then closed the service with what we can do as the Church during times of community crisis using Psalm 27: 1. Declare who our God is (out loud). The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life-of whom shall I be afraid? (v1) 2. Remember…we are the temple (the dwelling place) of the Living God. We take Him with us everywhere we go. One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. (v 4a). 3. Position ourselves to be teachable and led by Him. Teach me your way, Lord; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors. (v 11). 4. Share GOOD news…what God IS doing. I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. (v 13)
