February 23, 2025: Judging

Brian Coons shared another discerning word with us yesterday. This time on Judging.

He challenged us to look at what our standard of judging is. We can have Righteous judgements, Interpretive, or Logical judgements (which can also be righteous), but we also make Rash or Hasty judgements throughout our daily lives. Brian said that people base their judgements on their experiences and our decisions and behaviors come out of that. So, if we don't use the proper standard our judgements (and following decisions + behaviors) won't be aligned with God.

Brian showed us through scripture how we need to use God's righteousness as our standard for judgement not the unhealthy filters and lenses of our own life experiences and culture.

He gave us 6 points to help us avoid rash judgements and utilize God's equity.
